TECHNICAL CONSTRUCTION

The strength of our company lies in the implementation of technical
product solutions keeping as close as possible to customer requirements following the dialogue principle.
Thanks to the possibility offered by our internal tooling department and
test laboratory, the corresponding tubular heating elements can be quickly developed, built as a sample and checked for its parameters.

- Construction of a round tubular heating element

Technical parameters:

Diameter: 6.5 mm, 8.5 mm

Voltage: preferably 24, 42, 110, 230, 400 V

Capacity: The operating voltage and the length of the tubular heating element as well as the intended purpose are structural influence factors for the capacity to be accommodated.

Length: 300...4500 mm
unheated length: Standard models (45/60/80/100/125/150/200/250 mm), other lengths on request

Protection class:
- with mounting elements on the tube sheathing: Protection class 1
- otherwise: Protection class 0

DEW round tubular heating elements are manufactured from metal tube (1), in which the heat-resistant heat conductor (2) is fully enclosed by high-quality, well heat-conducting and temperature-resistant insulating material (3).

Excellent heat conduction from the heating coil to the tube sheathing as well as high insulation values and a large high voltage resistance characterise our heating elements.

Electrical energy is conducted directly to the heating coil via contact pins (4). The tube ends are protected by
ceramic sleeves (6) and carefully sealed off from the insulating material (5).

Depending on the application case and surface temperature, sufficient material qualities are available for the tube.

- Connecting

You may undertake the contacting of the basic model yourself. (The maximum temperature of the sealing material may be 200 °C for a short period of time.)

Caution! The maximum current load of a connection of 16 A must not be exceeded.
For the observance of factors reducing the current load capability of plug-in connections, please refer to
DIN 46249, Part 1.

- Flat connection:

- Nominal width 4.8 or 6.3 also angled for models 60° or 90°

- Double flat connection:

- Nominal width 6.3

- Threaded bolt M4 (only for 8.5 mm)

- Terminal connection M4, straight or angled at 60°

- Copper or nickel strand connection:

- Cross-section according to current load of RHK strand length
- Insulation and connecting elements acc. to agreement

- In case of higher electrical safety requirements the
connection point can be covered with shrink tubing.

- moisture-protected connection IPX 7:

- Shrink tubing with interior thermo-plastic adhesive coating
- Temperature resistance -40 °C ... 105 °C, also available as a defrosting heater
- Details on chemical resistance on request
